As part of its hybrid techno-blended approach to STEM education development, the centre has developed three seperate innovative  & interactive  educational software applications, called TouchTutor, MobiTutorZA and GammaTutor, to support the teaching and learning of CAPS Mathematics and Physical Sciences. These resources, which can be are accessed online or offline, are fully aligned with  the CAPS school curriculum and cover all grade levels. All the programmes and projects of the centre integrate  traditional learning materials, accessible  digital applications and various social media platforms  to support effective STEM skills development in schools. 

Since 2018 the centre also included extra-curricular projects in the form of  practical STEAM skills development activities. The main aim of the STEAM engagement with schools is to stimulate critical thinking and  creative  problem solving in the era of 4IR. Series of experiential learning workshops for teachers and learners are presented annually at project schools. A free national MathArt  project in schools is also offered annually to  promote creative design thinking and awareness of real-life  connections  between  Mathematics and Art.
